The Thousand Dollar Race

There’s only one problem – he is currently in the Witness Protection Program, waiting to testify against a ferociously violent Mexican cartel drug lord. He escapes from the program and enters the race, but the cartel – tipped off that he has entered – knows that targeting him during the cross-country extravaganza will be their only chance to get to him, out in the open.

Mendes therefore hires Colt Ryder and his canine sidekick Kane to help protect him from the mob hitmen who want to kill him, and together they embark on the crazed, adrenaline-fueled surge across the US, the target of other competitors, race protestors, local and state police, and an army of mafia assassins desperate to collect the bounty on the racing driver’s head.

With the odds stacked against them, it is up to Colt and Kane to make sure that Mendes gets to Miami in one piece, and to deliver him back into Witness Protection in time to testify against the violent cartel.
